About Us

General Information
Zomer's Greenhouses is a family owned and operated business in Milton Ontario, just west of Mississauga and north of Oakville. We are a wholesale greenhouse. Different crops are grown all year long including poinsettias, Easter lilies, potted house plants, greenery such as pothos and a variety of ivy and a huge assortment of spring garden plants and hanging baskets.

During the spring we carry the traditional garden favourites such as impatiens, geraniums, and petunias, as well as unique items such as citronella (scented geraniums), celosia and cosmos. For a complete product list, please contact us. We keep some tried and true favourites in our line-up from year to year, but we also try new items to keep up with changing trends and to meet consumer demand.

We have a loyal customer base which includes landscapers, garden centres, and flower shops. We also offer a comprehensive fundraising program for sports teams, churches, schools, etc. who would like to sell poinsettias or spring garden plants and hanging baskets. Our time and energy is focused on supplying high quality plants for our customers.

We are open year-round, Monday to Friday from 7 am to 4 pm.* We have extended hours during peak seasons such as spring, Easter and Christmas shipping. During these times, we are open Saturdays and longer business hours. Please call ahead to determine current hours, and please contact us for our current availability.

We can be reached by phone at (905) 878-4741 and by email at zomersgreenhouses@yahoo.ca.

*Hours may be shortened during hot summer weather.
History

Zomer's Greenhouses was started in 1974 by brothers Jack and Al Zomer. It began on property owned by their parents. The first crops were vegetables, but the business quickly evolved into flowering plants. Al and his wife Tilly took over the business in 1995 after Jack's passing. Today, Al and Tilly have passed the business on to their son Jeff and his wife Angela. The business began with 20,000 square feet of greenhouses and today has grown to over 75,000 square feet. The Zomer family has worked hard to grow their business but still maintain a hands-on approach to ensure quality products.
